Last year the FSM (Foundation Studio Marangoni) did a campaign entitled PROFESSION PHOTOGRAPER for the Open School 2012 portraying some of its students and having an aim to give prominence to the FSM mission, particularly to the objective of a 3-year Photography Course, twenty years since its establishment. The top end of the FSM education offer is exactly this 3-year course, aimed at those who want to make photography their own profession and created to offer theoretic and practical understanding necessary to get into the photographic world characterised by peculiarities and varieties.
In this period of crisis, what are the actual work possibilities for those who wish to make a career out of photography and have the necessary skills to do it? What is the panorama of the professional photography in contemporary Europe? In which way can Italy become competitive on international level?
On the occasion of the Festival Of Europe which also includes the Open School 2013, the FSM offers to be the forum that is assigned the task of finding answers to these questions and offering a historic-cultural picture of changes which have given a new structure to the European photographic market but, above all, triggering a constructive dialogue to share and get enriched with reciprocally among students, professionals and people working in the field.
