Some works by Stella Battaglia and Gianni Miglietta will be exhibited on the portrait theme interpreted in contemporary key. The busts have been appropriately modelled so that the photography projection can hold onto it as “a skin”. An encounter between photography and sculpture, a sculpture coated with light and colours where the old tradition of prospective projection gets revisited through the modern technology of video installations.

From 7th to 12th May 2013 the antique shops and galleries in Via Maggio and Via dei Fossi will expose in their windows a series of art works for an ideal journey under the stars on the theme “Antiquarians as messengers of the European cultures”.

The study day wants to present the results achieved in the research fields and the research itself applied to single conservation intervention, obtained from a vast network of Scientific Institutes in constant collaboration with the Opificio delle Pietre Dure (School for Art Conservation) with its internal Scientific Laboratory and Restoration Laboratories in Florence.
